while we're all getting ready for this storm - very curious this sort of thing, not something i've dealt with before. not something that happened in cloudbank. would have caused many problems though fixing them would have been simple i suppose!

in any case, yes! the subject of this post!

from what i have seen and heard many people give their pokemon names. i suppose it makes sense! but i cannot decide on names for mine. nothing seems to fit! i have not named many sentient creatures before. the ones i have i have been told my names are not very creative.

['Jerk' is a totally valid name for a creature, okay.]

i am a programmer and engineer by trade but i do not think those terms are very fitting for my pokemon.

[Red took all of the function names already. He's tempted to name the cat 'Asher' even if the cat is female.]

i have:
- magnemite (neuter)
- sentret (male)
- purrloin (female)
- dratini (female)
- skarmony (female)
- gastly (female)
- bronzor (neuter)

i did not realize how many female pokemon i have until just now. oh well nothing to be done about it nothing at all. i would prefer if they follow some sort of consistent naming theme but if one seems fitting i suppose it can be an anomaly.

[And if anyone wants to speak to the nerd, he's sitting in the Pokemon Center in Violet City with a Magnemite orbiting around him and a Dratini clinging to his leg.]

[A rather high and frail-sounding voice comes across the network. It's male, but it keeps... pausing oddly.]

Begin recording... broadcast? Maybe both...

This... is... Royce Bracket, transmitting via a... strange device. Curious, very curious... this bears no resemblance to... to, well... anything.

I appear to be in small village - no, a town. It appears to have many people, many people indeed... none of them seem to recognize me, or Cloudbank.

[No, he didn't read the guidebook and he wasn't really paying attention to the woman who tried to explain something to him on the way out. There was a machine to play with.]

This device is... small, very small. It seems to have a number of functions, however - the majority of which are... unknown as of now. Further study is necessary.

... End transmission.

[Of course, it's kind of obvious he's a newbie given his location, general dazed appearance (or maybe that's just normal for him), and total obliviousness to the Pokeball in his bag that he's at least managed to put on his back without forgetting it.]
